Peruvian mining bets on the future with AI, IoT and cybersecurity this 2025

Efitec presented EsencIA, a project designed to lead the integration of emerging technological solutions, with a focus aimed at the Peruvian mining sector. Through advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data management, Internet of Things (IoT) and cybersecurity, this project seeks to transform operational processes and optimize efficiency in mining companies, helping them face the challenges of digital transformation.

Mining, a key pillar of the Peruvian economy, faces growing challenges in productivity, sustainability and safety. In this context, EsencIA has identified an opportunity to implement solutions that not only optimize operational processes, but also improve security and reduce costs.

EsencIA is committed to the integration of AI, Machine Learning and IoT to transform the management of mining operations. AI makes it possible to predict equipment failures and perform predictive maintenance, while IoT facilitates real-time monitoring, improving decision making. 'Predictive maintenance is key in mining as it anticipates failures before they occur, helping to reduce downtime and operating expenses.'
